Two Additional Tips to Make Your Netgear Routers Work Better

A faster router makes everyone happier, so here we are with a few tricks and tips to help you make your router work faster.

Positioning your Router

If your router is positioned at the far end of your house, you may not find a connection. These areas are known as WiFi dead zones.

There are two antennae routers, internal and external. If you find two external antennas, you need to position them perpendicular to one another.

However, if you only have an internal antenna, then you can use some trial-and-error methods. In this case, you can either position the router vertically or horizontally.

Wireless Security

Stay away from threats by ensuring that your network is secured.

Here is what you can do:

  • Log in to the router’s admin page.
  • Use the default credential to sign in.
  • Choose WPA-2 as encryption.
  • Create a password.
  • Do not share the password.
